December 2017 Karma Class Schedule
We are so excited to introduce the wellness series for active adults at Balance Everywear. Monthly, we will bring you a workshop designed to create more balance in your life. The beautiful part is that workshops will be a varied as individuals instructing them.
A Balance Everywear, we are more than just clothes. We encourage and support you finding balance in all components: work, play and life. Watch for workshops that speak to the areas that may need some gentle, loving attention.
We met Kaitlyn at a pop-up during the summer and were instantly drawn in by her beautiful presence. She is a 2nd grade teacher in Calgary and once you meet her, you'll understand why the 7 and 8 year olds simply love her.
Whether you understand the special purpose of malas or you just think they are "pretty", please join us in our first workshop.
You can see more of Kaitlyn's work on her Etsy website: Mountain Stone Jewelry

Andrea is a breathe of fresh air. She provides clear insight and focuses on teaching and educating her clients so they grow taller, stronger and provides the opportunities to live healthier lives through movement.
Here's what she says on her website:
"There is nothing I enjoy more than seeing clients improve their mindfulness, body awareness, posture, alignment, strength, flexibility, physical health and fitness. I believe in teaching Pilates foundations to clients in the studio… so they know how to integrate these principles into their everyday active life.
I strive to find fresh and engaging ways to maintain my own physical fitness, flexibility, and core strength and share this with my clients. I believe that having fun at what you are doing is the key to success!
I practice everything I teach. I enjoy cycling, swimming, surfing, skating, skiing and time spent with my two young daughters and my husband. And, I intend to keep up this active lifestyle until I am very old! I am addicted to movement and with Andrea Dean Pilates and Movement, you will be too."

Our Karma Project Charity for Spring 2017
The Walk-In Closet provides 90-minute individual consultations on professional business attire to women facing financial barriers who want to join the work force, return to school or engage in volunteer opportunities. In addition to information on business culture and appropriate dress, participants are offered gently used clothing and accessories at no cost to help them look and feel their best.
My Best Friend’s Closet is a youth empowerment program at Making Changes. It provides teenaged girls from low-income households with clothing and accessories to meet their school and recreational needs for the upcoming year – all at no cost to their families. My Best Friend’s Closet also provides valuable leadership and personal development opportunities to young women in the community, who volunteer in the program and act as peers or near-peers to the girls they support.
Each program participant will receive a one-on-one 90 minute consultation with a volunteer image stylist to find a wide assortment of fun and fashionable school and recreational pieces.
Wings of Hope Foundation, Calgary
Later in May, 2017, Balance Everywear will proudly display and distribute the 2017 Three Sisters Mountain coin pendant. The 2017 Wings of Hope Jewelry Collection features three female, Canadian designers. Each artist has produced a beautiful line that represents the courageous and resilient spirit of the west; the same spirit that so many of our clients embody. Your support is encouraged!
Here's a bit more information about Wings of Hope. Please visit their website to learn more about this incredible foundation.
At Wings of Hope, we fund programs that help ease financial burdens and promote wellness for low-income people who are living with breast cancer in and around Calgary.
Founded in 1995, we're entirely volunteer-run. This means we direct more than 95% of our proceeds towards the unique local initiatives that we support, ensuring we help as many people as possible.
Thank you so much for being a part of our work -- for helping people in our community when they need it most.
